Twelve years ago, I quit dipping tobacco. What got me through was a group of us all quitting together, checking in with each other every single day. Just knowing someone was going to ask how I was doing changed what I did. I haven't touched it since.
Today I'm the accountability partner for a friend who's quitting alcohol, and the same thing is working again: someone who notices when you go quiet, and says "you can do this" on the days it doesn't feel true.
That's what we're building here: one promise each morning ("today I will not drink"), a first goal of 100 days, and a real person in your corner the whole way.
